Website design
Websites for small local businesses are key in succeeding in business today. Small business websites need to be designed in such a way to showcase the businesses’ services. The websites should also be laid out in a clean, professional manner. As well, the websites should be easy to navigate.
So many small business have websites that are outdated and poorly designed. This can lead to a poor impression on the very people the business is trying to attract. The small business websites I design have a clean, professional design that improves the branding efforts of the business. People who visit the site will automatically have a great first impression, before they even come in the door. As well, by having the business contact information and address with a google map is easily accessible, it will turn more website visitors into paying customers.
As well, having a references section on a website is a great way to boost customer confidence. If they see that other people are enjoying your local business via the references page on your website, they will be more likely to give your business a try.
It’s becoming more and more popular now for parents to get websites as gifts for their new baby. It’s even becoming popular for family and friends to buy the baby website as a shower gift.
I’m going to start providing websites for new moms and dads who want a website designed for their baby. Blogs (In case you’re unfamiliar with the term blog, it’s just a type of website - this website is a blog) would be a great form of a website for a baby as it can have regular posts with new baby pictures as the baby grows. Any long distance relatives will be able to check-in on the baby website or blog to see the latest news and photos.
Since it is such a special occasion, I’m going to start by offering this design service FREE to the first 3 proud parents who want a website/blog designed for the baby. I’ll include photogalleries for the baby as well as a way to make comments on each picture/post the parents put up!
Just let me know!
Google AdWords-Google AdWords gives relevant keywords for a given phrase. While not as comprehensive as Overture, one advantage is that Google Adwords also gives other suggestions that don’t contain the word or phrase you entered.
Google Sets-This little known tool is a real asset. Its best use is for coming up with a list of relevant words. For example, if you want a list of all NFL football teams, type in: broncos, giants and it will list NFL teams. Or maybe you want a list of rock stars. Just type in “rolling stones” and “the doors” and Google Sets will give you a list of rock artists and bands it finds relevant to your choices.
Overture Inventory-This is the “biggie”. Type in a word or phrase and Overture will return the most popular phrases for the previous month, including number of searches. One drawback is that Overture treats singular and plural versions of words as the same thing and in most cases, only lists the singular version. For best results, you better double-check your results, adding plurals when necessary.
Good Keywords-Also uses the Overture database for its results. The difference is, Good Keywords EXCLUDES the number of times keywords are searched for. Simply put, we have removed all the numbers for you. This allows for easy copy/paste of the lists of keywords. This is FREE software that runs on your Windows PC.
Webmaster Tool Kit-This nifty little tool will find tons and tons of keywords using these search engines: Altavista Excite Google HotBot MSN Wisenut All the Web Teoma.
These tools help you create a site that is more effectively using keywords to help bring people to your site. By using the right types of words, you can increase the number of unique visitors coming to your site.

Here’s how the process works:
1. Write and submit articles to article directories.
Ezinearticles.com & goarticles.com are the best.
When you are writing your first article make sure its interesting enough to get people looking at it, take risks, make it edgy, make it HOT, and you’ll get traffic.
2. Go to answers.yahoo.com and start answering questions in your niche with a link back to your site.
But do not spam Yahoo Answers. You want to contribute good answers. This helps you gain credibility on their site.
3. Post in related forums and leave a link to your site in the signature.
With forum answering do not expect the traffic to just start flowing in like crazy at first, you will have to establish trust with other members of the forum, spamming sending out scam mail do not work so don’t even try it just generally help others
4. Write quality comments on other people’s blogs with a link to your site. On sites that have the top commenters plugin, if you’re in the top, you get a permanent link back to your site.
5. Write a press release and submit it to press release sites as PRWeb.com.
Make sure when you write you press release, that the content is of good quality a good written article can bring you tons of traffic.
My Background
Website design is something I really enjoy and I seem to have a knack for. I like to stay on top of the ever-changing technology that comes into building cutting-edge websites. I am a big fan of open source software which allows me to keep my programming costs down and I can then pass the savings onto you! Right now I work at a regular job during the day and I develop websites in the evenings and weekends. However, don’t let this fool you. I strive to ensure my customers are completely happy with their websites.
How I can help you
I’m an entrepreneur at heart and my goal is to go into website design full time - and the only way to do that is by getting many satisfied customers to spread the word! My clients know that I give them excellent customer service, and I’d love to do the same for you. If you have questions or concerns, I’m always available. So far I’m encouraged by the positive response my websites are getting and the reviews of my customers. I’ve worked with many clients in my hometown in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) in Ontario, Canada as well as a few businesses in the States. I appreciate your support!
